Natalie Czech's Biography
Natalie Czech is a German photographer and multimedia artist. Born in 1976, she is known for her thought-provoking and often humorous photographic works. She has exhibited her works in galleries and museums such as the Mercedes Benz Art Collection in Stuttgart and the Hamburger Kunsthalle in Hamburg, Germany. Czech's works are often based on her interest in exploring our relationship between the physical and the metaphysical world. Her work often deals with the idea of memory, identity and embodiment. She often uses a variety of media, such as photography, sculpture, and video to explore the different aspects of her subject matters. Czech has received numerous awards for her works, including the 2012 German Photobook Award and the 2013 Bavarian State Prize for Photography. She has also been featured in several publications, such as the New York Times and the Guardian. Czech currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
