Miquel Barceló's Biography

Miquel Barceló is a Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramic artist who was born in 1957 in Felanitx, Mallorca, Spain. He is a prominent figure in the Neo Expressionism movement and is known for his large-scale paintings and sculptures. Barceló studied at the Escola d'Art in Palma de Majorca before moving to Madrid, where he attended the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His work has been exhibited in major galleries and museums worldwide. Barceló is also known for his involvement in public art projects, such as his mural at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
