Mika Rottenberg's Biography
Mika Rottenberg (born 1976) is an Argentinian contemporary video installation artist. Her work is characterized by its surreal and humorous exploration of everyday life and labor, often featuring surreal and absurdly constructed sets. She explores themes of power, identity and gender as they relate to labor and class. Her work has been exhibited in major institutions worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the Institute of Contemporary Art in London. She has also been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Biennial, and the Berlin Biennale.
