Michelangelo Pistoletto's Biography
Michelangelo Pistoletto is an Italian artist best known for his work in the Arte Povera and Minimalist movements. He was born in Biella, Italy in 1933 and he gained recognition as one of the leading Italian artists of the Post-War period. His work is mainly composed of painting, sculpture, and performance/happening art. He has exhibited extensively in Europe, the United States, and South America. His works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions, including those at the Tampa Museum of Art and the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna (GNAM) in Rome.
