Michael Sailstorfer's Biography
Michael Sailstorfer is an Ultra-Contemporary artist whose works explore the relationship between nature, technology, and human interaction. He is best known for his installations, sculptures, and public artworks, which often feature natural materials such as woods, stones, and metals. Sailstorfer was born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1979 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He has held solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, the Kunsthalle Wien, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp. His work has been featured in prestigious international exhibitions such as Documenta and Skulptur Projekte Münster. He has also participated in multiple public art projects, including a commission for the Erweiterungsgebäude des Bundeskanzleramtes in Berlin.
