Marina Núñez's Biography
Marina Núñez is a Spanish contemporary artist who works primarily with time-based media and installation art. She was born in 1966 and has exhibited her work in Spain, Germany, France, and the United States. Núñez has developed a unique practice that incorporates themes of identity, memory, and the past. Her work often focuses on the emotions and experiences of everyday life, exploring how these can be both revealing and transformative. Her work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the 2018 edition of the Madrid Art Fair and the 2017 edition of the Contemporary Art Fair in Madrid. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious National Prize for Visual Arts in Spain.
