Mabel Palacín's Biography
Mabel Palacín is a Spanish photographer born in 1964. She began her career in the 1980s, working with photography and video. Her work is characterized by a strong focus on the female experience, exploring the relationship between photography, art and memory. She has exhibited her work in numerous national and international galleries and institutions, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, the Fundación Tapies and the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid. Palacín has also won several awards, such as the National Photography Prize of Spain in 2001 and the Grand Prix of Photography of Madrid in 2010. Her photographs have been published in numerous books and magazines, including the New York Times Magazine and El País.
