Lutz Bacher's Biography
Lutz Bacher is an American conceptual artist, born in 1962. She is best known for her works in which she appropriates and re-contextualizes found objects and images. Her practice is rooted in a deep interest in the cultural and political underpinnings of the objects and images she works with.
Her work has been exhibited widely, both nationally and internationally, including at the CAPC (Musée d'art contemporain) in Bordeaux, France and the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, WA, United States. She has also been included in several important group exhibitions around the world.
