Lawrence Abu Hamdan's Biography
Lawrence Abu Hamdan is an artist, writer, and researcher based in Beirut, Lebanon. His interdisciplinary practice engages with the politics of listening and sound, exploring the potential of audio to shape, contest, and produce legal, political, and social forms of knowledge. He is a founding member of the research collective DISNOVATION.ORG and the Sonic Politics Working Group. He has exhibited and lectured widely, at venues such as the MoMa, the Whitney Museum, the New Museum, and the Tate Modern.
