Laurent Grasso's Biography
Laurent Grasso is a French contemporary artist born in 1972. He is best known for his large-scale, multi-media installations that explore themes of science, history and the supernatural. His work is often inspired by his interest in science fiction and the idea of a “parallel universe”. He often employs time-based media such as video, film and photography. His work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Europe and the United States, including the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C.
