Larry Clark's Biography
Larry Clark is an American photographer and filmmaker. He was born in 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is best known for his work in the photographic series Tulsa and the film Kids. His work often explores themes of youth, rebellion, and substance abuse. He is seen as a key figure in the Post-War era of photography, along with other artists such as Robert Frank and Diane Arbus. Clark has had numerous solo exhibitions of his work, including those at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Harmony Korine and Gus Van Sant, as well as writing and directing his own films.
