Konrad Klapheck's Biography
Konrad Klapheck is a German painter and sculptor who is regarded as one of the major figures of the post-war Magic Realism movement. Born in Düsseldorf in 1935, Klapheck studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and the Academy of Arts in Berlin. He is best known for his paintings and sculptures of everyday objects and machines, which he created with a precise, almost scientific level of detail. His work is often imbued with humor and irony, and his paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Europe.
