Klaus Staeck's Biography
Klaus Staeck is a German artist and political activist who was born in 1938. He is best known for his works on paper, photography, mail art, and poster art. Staeck is a key figure in the Post-War era and is credited as one of its most important representatives. He began his career as a graphic designer in the 1960s, and eventually expanded his art practice to include mail art, poster art, and photography. His work is often characterized by its use of strong typography and bold imagery. Staeck has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, including his upcoming show at the Kunsthalle Bremen in 2022, entitled Sunset - Ein Hoch auf die sinkende Sonne.
