Kishio Suga is a Japanese artist born in 1944 in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. He is considered a key figure of the Post-War Mono-Ha movement, which emerged in Tokyo in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Suga works mainly with objects, creating installations and sculptures that explore the relationship between nature, industrial materials, and the viewer. His works often emphasize the physical presence of the objects and the space they inhabit, and he is known for his use of everyday and industrial materials such as wood, stone, steel, paper, and cloth.
