Katinka Bock's Biography
Katinka Bock is a German contemporary artist from Berlin, born in 1976. She works in a variety of media, including photography, time-based media, sculpture, and installation art. She is known for her work that explores the relationships between nature and industry, between the everyday and the supernatural, and between the physical and the metaphysical. In her works, Bock combines natural elements such as dirt, clay and stone with industrial materials such as steel and concrete to create complex and often disorienting installations. Her works have been exhibited in institutions such as MUDAM - Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean in Luxembourg, and Philara - Sammlung zeitgenössischer Kunst in Dusseldorf, Germany.
