Judith Hopf's Biography
Judith Hopf is a German contemporary artist born in 1969. She works with a range of media including time-based media, drawings, video, and performance/happening. Hopf's works often explore absurd situations and absurdist elements. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, such as the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Grant in 2004 and the Villa Romana-Prize in 2010.
Hopf has exhibited her works in many places around the world, including at the Museum Brandhorst in Munich and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Her upcoming exhibition is Future Bodies from a Recent Past — Sculpture, Technology, and the Body Since the 1950s, set to take place at Museum Brandhorst in 2022.
