Jill Magid's Biography

Jill Magid is an American artist whose work focuses on the intersection of art, politics, and technology. She is known for her interactive, socially engaged projects that explore the public’s relationship to power, often working with local authorities, government agencies, and corporations. Her work has been featured in exhibitions around the world, including the Whitney Biennial, the Sharjah Biennial, and other international biennials. She has received numerous awards, including the Calder Prize, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Biennial Award, and the Guggenheim Fellowship. She is currently a professor of Art and Public Policy at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
