Jeremy Deller's Biography
Jeremy Deller is a British artist born in 1966. He is best known for his time-based and installation art, which often uses historical events as a source of inspiration. He has exhibited at galleries and museums around the world, including Tate Britain, Tate Modern, the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow. He is also known for his collaborative works with other artists, such as his collaboration with British rock band Foals, which resulted in the video piece ‘The English Civil War Part II’. In 2017, he was awarded the Turner Prize in recognition of his work.
