Jean-Jacques Lebel is a French artist associated with the post-war avant-garde movement known as NO!art. Born in 1936, Lebel was a painter and sculptor who was particularly active during the 1960s. His works explore themes of protest, rebellion, and social injustice, often taking the form of installations and performances. He is well-known for his collaborations with other artists, such as his projects with Yoko Ono and his work at the 1968 Paris Biennale. He has exhibited his artwork in galleries and museums around the world, including the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Modern in London.
