Ignacio Uriarte's Biography
Ignacio Uriarte is a German-born contemporary artist who creates works on paper, time-based media, and film. He was born in 1972 and currently works in Berlin, Germany. His work explores themes of memory, labor, and identity, often referencing the history of the media he is working with. Uriarte has exhibited in prestigious institutions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He has also participated in numerous exhibitions and biennales, including the Berlin Biennale, the Istanbul Biennale, and the Mercosul Biennial in Brazil.
