Hiroshi Sugimoto is a Japanese conceptual artist born in 1948 in Tokyo, Japan. He is well known for his photographs, which often feature eerily still and serene settings. His works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world. He is one of the most influential photographers of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
