Hans-Peter Feldmann's Biography

Hans-Peter Feldmann is a German conceptual artist born in 1941. He is known for his minimalist and humorous approaches to art making and for his use of everyday objects and images. He is often grouped with the post-war German artistic movement, but his works are largely conceived of as a form of conceptual art. His works often involve the use of found objects and images, which he reassembles and re-contextualizes. He is also known for his large-scale installations and his use of photography and text. He has had numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, including solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
