George Condo's Biography
George Condo is an American contemporary artist, born in 1957 in Concord, New Hampshire. He is best known for his figurative paintings, which often mix elements from art history, pop culture, and surrealism. He studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and then moved to New York in 1979. In the 1980s, he was a member of the Neo-Expressionist movement and was associated with the East Village Art Scene. His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including a retrospective at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York in 2010. He has also collaborated with musician Kanye West on several artworks.
