Franz Erhard Walther's Biography

Franz Erhard Walther is a German sculptor and installation artist who was born in 1939 in Fulda, Germany. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1960 to 1967, and he has been exhibiting regularly since the late 1960s. His works are often related to the concept of participation, which involves the visitor's physical interaction with the art. He has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. His work is included in prominent collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Tate Modern in London.
