Fernando Sánchez Castillo's Biography
Fernando Sánchez Castillo is a Spanish sculptor, performance artist, and time-based media artist. He was born in 1970 in Madrid, Spain. He received his BA in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1995, and his MA in Fine Arts from the University of Granada in 1998.
Sánchez Castillo's work typically focuses on the notion of time, exploring the concept through the use of sculpture, installation, and video. His sculptures often incorporate materials such as wood, metal, and clay, and are often accompanied by sound. In his performance works, he uses his body to explore the effects of time and transformation.
