Elena Asins's Biography

Elena Asins (born 1940) is a Spanish painter and works on paper artist. She is known for her Post-War abstract works that combine elements of geometry and color. Asins has exhibited in several countries including Spain, Germany, and the United States. Her work has been featured in several prestigious exhibitions including Escribir Todos Sus Nombres at the PalaisPopulaire in Berlin in 2022. Asins has a long and distinguished career as an artist. She studied at the School of Fine Arts in Madrid before going on to teach art and design at the same institution. She has been awarded numerous prizes and accolades, including two gold medals from the Spanish Ministry of Culture. Asins' work is characterized by its use of vibrant colors and shapes. Her works often focus on themes of nature, geometry, and landscape. Her art has been described as "bold, imaginative and deeply personal". Asins' works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid and the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
