Dawoud Bey's Biography
Dawoud Bey is a contemporary photographer from the United States, born in 1953. He is known for his work in the Black artistic Renaissance. His photography often focuses on capturing the lives of African Americans and other marginalized communities. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the 2020 Whitney Biennial and Citing Black Geographies in 2022 at the Richard Gray Gallery in New York City. Bey's work has also been featured in publications such as the New York Times, the New Yorker, and the Wall Street Journal.
