Daniela Comani's Biography

Daniela Comani is an Italian artist who was born in 1965. She works in a variety of media, including photography, conceptual photography, installation art, sound art, and video. She is best known for her conceptual art and feminist art. Comani’s work explores themes related to identity, gender, and the body. She often plays with the idea of the “self” and uses her own body as a canvas to explore these concepts. She creates photographs, installations, and videos that often involve her own body. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Venice Biennale, the Vienna Biennale, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In addition to her artwork, Comani is also a professor of photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. She is a member of the National Association of Photographers in Italy and has received numerous awards for her work.
