Daniel Dezeuze's Biography
Daniel Dezeuze was born in 1942 in France. He is best known for his involvement in the Supports/Surfaces movement, a French avant-garde artistic movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Dezeuze studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence and went on to become a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Dezeuze's work mainly consists of drawings, sculptures, and objects. He typically works with simple materials such as wood, cardboard, and metal. His pieces often incorporate elements of chance and are imbued with a sense of playfulness and experimentation. Dezeuze's works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in France and the United States.
