Damien Hirst's Biography
Damien Hirst is a British artist born in 1965. He is a prominent figure of the Young British Art (YBA) movement and is considered one of the leading exponents of Postminimalism. His works are characterized by a focus on death, religion, and science, as well as the use of a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, installation art, found objects and mixed media. He has had major solo exhibitions at the Tate Modern, the Gagosian Gallery, the Serpentine Gallery, and the White Cube.
