Charles Fréger's Biography
Charles Fréger is a French photographer, born in 1975 in Rouen, France. He studied photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles and at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. His work is characterized by his interest in identity and its representations, and the exploration of collective identities through the use of rural and urban landscapes. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He is also a professor of photography at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
