Cécile Bart's Biography
Cécile Bart is a French contemporary artist born in 1958. She is known for her painting, objects and installation art. She has held exhibitions in France and abroad. She is a member of the Association des Patrons de l’Art Contemporain (APAC) and has received numerous awards, including the Prix des Amis des Arts Contemporains (2017) and the Canson Prize (2018).
Her work explores the relationship between the physical and the mental, often combining materials such as fabric, paint and found objects to create a narrative. Her pieces are often installations that are interactive, engaging the viewer in a dialogue.
Bart's work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including Le Silo 6: Oeuvres de la collection Françoise et Jean-Philippe Billarant (2022) at Le Silo à Grains, Marines, France and Filiations 2 & La Donation Albers-Honegger (2022) at Espace de l’art concret, Mouans Sartoux, France.
