Bouchra Khalili's Biography

Bouchra Khalili is a Moroccan-born, Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on the politics of representation and the production of knowledge. Through video, photography, installations, and public interventions, Khalili creates works that explore issues related to migration, displacement, and the representation of resistance and resilience in marginalized communities. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Paris VIII and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world, including at the New Museum (New York), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), and the Museum of Modern Art (Vienna). She has also been a part of the documenta 14 exhibitions in Athens and Kassel. Her work has been included in the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the New Museum, and the Tate Modern.
