Antoni Miralda's Biography

Antoni Miralda is a Spanish artist who was born in 1942 in Barcelona, Spain. He is known for his work in objects, installation art, and performance art. He studied at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, and graduated in 1964. After graduation, he moved to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Miralda was a part of a group of Spanish artists who were actively involved in the international conceptual art scene. His work was deeply influenced by his experience with the Spanish Civil War and the political instability of the period. In the late 1970s, Miralda began to focus more on his installation art, which often featured large-scale public projects. He has also created a number of performance pieces which explore issues of public space and the public sphere. His works often incorporate elements of food, language, and popular culture. In addition to his art, Miralda has also written and lectured extensively on the subject of art and culture.
