Anne-Marie Schneider is a French contemporary artist who was born in 1962. She is known for her work in time-based media and animation. Her work has been featured in many international exhibitions, including shows at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. In recent years, her work has been shown at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. In 2010, Schneider received the prestigious Prix Marcel Duchamp, an award given by the French Ministry of Culture to recognize an artist's outstanding contribution to the field. Anne-Marie Schneider's work is often described as surreal and dreamlike, exploring the boundaries between reality and imagination. Her animations often feature a hybrid of human and animal figures, reflecting her interest in the psychology of identity.
