Anish Kapoor's Biography
Anish Kapoor is an Indian-born British sculptor and installation artist. He was born in 1954 in Bombay and studied at the Hornsey College of Art and the Chelsea School of Art in London. Kapoor's works are often characterized by their bold geometric shapes and the use of negative space. He is most renowned for his large-scale public sculptures, such as Cloud Gate in Chicago's Millennium Park. His works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world, including at the Tate Gallery in London, the Musée du Louvre in Paris, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. His art has also been featured in numerous international biennales, including the Venice Biennale, Documenta in Kassel, and the Biennale de Paris.
