Andrea Büttner's Biography
Andrea Büttner is a German artist who was born in 1972 in Heidelberg. She is known for her works in a variety of media, including drawings, sculpture, sound art, and wood carving. She has exhibited her works worldwide, including at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, the Kunsthaus in Zurich, and the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin. Büttner has also had solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Basel and the Kunsthalle Mannheim, as well as group exhibitions at the Tate in London and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, The Guardian, and The Economist. Büttner has also received awards such as the 2019 Preis der Nationalgalerie für Junge Kunst and the 2017 Carnegie Art Award.
