Adam Pendleton's Biography
Adam Pendleton (born 1984) is an American artist and cultural producer based in New York City. His work combines painting, video, photography, language, and archival materials to explore the intersection of history, identity, and the present. His works have featured in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, The Studio Museum in Harlem, and The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, among other institutions. Pendleton is also the founder of the Black Dada Corporation and a member of the collective Just Above Midtown. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2019.
